Worlds Collide on the Soccer Fields Behind Central Junior High

This year, 138 students got to represent their schools in soccer. Their equipment came courtesy of a young man whose dreams outlived him. 6 Stones and the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District partner to provide an intramural soccer league for at-risk kids in 4 local junior high schools. Kids from all over the world came together to play their favorite sport in 2018. But no matter where you come from, you need one thing to play: a soccer ball.

Data from HEB ISD shows that the average Liga HEB player recorded three fewer absences than their peers and saw a modest improvement in GPA during the 2018 season.
