Momentum is a curriculum-based mentorship program helping our neighbors rise above life’s challenges by empowering physical, spiritual, emotional, and economic stability.
Lead others into a thriving life by becoming a Momentum mentor. With your guidance and support, you can help individuals overcome challenges and achieve lasting stability. Momentum welcomes both English and Spanish-speaking mentors to walk alongside our neighbors, offering hope and building stronger communities.
Ready to overcome challenges and build a brighter future? Momentum helps you achieve stability—physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially. Over four months, you’ll attend eight weeks of structured classes with your mentor, followed by eight weeks of one-on-one mentoring to apply what you’ve learned. Together, you’ll build relationships, access resources, and take steps toward your personal goals.
Your support can change lives. By donating or volunteering, you empower individuals to overcome life’s challenges and achieve lasting stability.
Momentum offers two key volunteer opportunities:
•Becoming a Mentor: Walk alongside a mentee in one of our upcoming cohorts to guide them through a four-month journey of growth and stability. Choose from the cohorts listed above to get started.
•Serving as a Hospitality Coordinator: Help set the stage for success by preparing the room and arranging food and refreshments for each weekly session. For more information, contact Suzie Lamparter at [email protected].
In addition to volunteering, your donations provide vital supplies needed to support the Momentum program, ensuring participants have the resources they need to succeed.
Every role makes a difference. Join us in making an impact—because together, we can help our neighbors thrive.
Yes! In addition to mentoring, we’re looking for volunteer Hospitality Coordinators to help make our sessions welcoming and organized. Hospitality volunteers play a vital role in setting up the room, arranging food and refreshments, and ensuring everything is ready for each weekly class. This is a great way to support Momentum behind the scenes and contribute to the success of the program.

The Momentum program runs for 4 months. Eight weeks of in-person sessions and 8 weeks of individual mentor/mentee meetings.
Mentor training will be held one week prior to the start date for each cohort.
Weekly hour-and-a-half sessions for 8 weeks.
**Dinner and childcare vary for each class.
Mentors and mentees will create a convenient weekly meeting schedule to continue to accomplish their game-changing goals set during Momentum.
We celebrate all Momentum graduates at the end of the year with our annual Momentum Celebration event held in December.
The program will be overseen by the Director of Compassion Ministries.
An in-person training session will take place with the mentors prior to the start of the 8 weeks. The mentors will also have touch points with the Program Director along the way to ensure everything is going smoothly and gauge goal progression.
