What Happened through the New Hope Center in 2012?

NewHopeDoor

2012 proved to be a year of great growth for 6 Stones New Hope.  As the needs of our community have increased, we have been blessed to be able to grow with those needs and increase our capacity as an organization.  In 2012, New Hope served 16,032 individuals with food and clothing – that’s an increase of about 1,000 people over 2011.  Our team at New Hope sees that not as a burden, but as over 16,000 opportunities to share hope.  And we have been blessed with an increased capacity to serve more of our neighbors.

This year, we raised funds and completed the installation of our square foot cold storage unit.  We have already seen an increase in donations – just recently, we received a full truckload each week for 3 weeks in a row.

Also this year, we were overwhelmed with the increased response to the Black and Blue Showdown.  This community went beyond anything we could have imagined when it raised over 44,000 food items to feed our neighbors through the New Hope Center.

As we are faithful to offer help and hope, we are blessed with a growing capacity to do even more.  Thank you for your support in 2012, and we look forward to further growth in 2013.  We’d love to have you be a part!
