What an incredible day!
I wish I could have communicated to the world what a wonderful day our food drive was on March 8th, sooner, rather than later…but our new blog is just now active. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t back up to say Thank you!
To have the support of the whole church for an event like this is an unbelievable blessing. For so long the ladies at the New Hope Center have quietly met the needs of the community for 18 years, with very little support or resources and most of the time with very little recognition. This unbelievable out pouring of support was almost over whelming, and it definitely brought tears!
Then top it off with the number of volunteers we had from the Trinity Trojan Football Team and Travis and Jennifer Jones’ Young Married department, it was incredible. You would have thought this was their 100th food drive the way they mobilized and organized the mountain of cans and containers of food we received. What a blessing!
The timing was perfect, the Lord knew that in the month of March, we would service twice as many families as a year ago. And all indications are May will be the same, if not higher!
One thing I’ve learned since the launch of The Miracle in 2005, is when God moves in these ways, He not only addresses the present, but He also sows in glimpses of the future…usually undetectable at first.
If you focus really hard, sometimes you can see what it is He is trying to show us, but typically it takes time. And as they say, “hindsight is 20/20.” In the last thirty days it is becoming clearer what lies ahead for 6 Stones. Maybe not specifics…but the scope will be incredible.
In the coming days I will share with you some of the most amazing things I’ve experienced in my eleven years of ministry. As I’ve said to so many of you, I go home at night and look at Tammy and just shake my head and tell her, “you’re not going to believe this!”
But…I’d like to hear from you! Almost daily, someone calls to tell me God is leading them to do this or that? Or, to get involved some way.
What is God saying to you and about your future? And I’d like to know what God is showing you about this ministry called 6 Stones.
