What a lunch!

What a lunch is right!

(Not to mention the BBQ was incredible as always…thank you North Main).

It’s amazing to think what has transpired in two years and one week.  That is how long it has been since Ken Harp, Executive Pastor / Restoration Church and I met with the City of Euless to unveil an idea.  An idea that became Euless Revitalization

On Wednesday, there were almost 180 people at The Mayor’s Lunch to hear about what has transpired with Euless Revitalization and what is ahead.  Mark your calendars for March 12 & 13 for the next two- day Blitz.  If you are interested in joining us, please contact Wes & Dianne Higdon at [email protected] or [email protected].  We are proud to say that they are not only coordinators for Restoration Church, but they are part of 6 Stones as our coordinators with the city, our partnering churches, and our MANY corporate sponsors.

Kudos to the City of Euless though!  Pictured above is Commissioner Gary Fickes.  As he stated Wednesday at the lunch, “the best form of flattery is to be copied.”  And, at the invitation of Mayor Mary Lib Saleh and City Manager Gary McKamie, Commissioner Fickes invited the cities of Richland Hills, North Richland Hills, Watauga, and Keller to attend the lunch to learn more how they may implement their own version of Euless Revitalization.  Well over fifty responded from those four cities including many civic, church and business leaders.

We were also very honored to have Matt Jack from U.S. Representative Kenny Marchant’s office, State Representative Todd Smith and his wife Nancy, as well as a host of Euless City Officials, and Roger Fisher and Russell Hines from the City of Bedford, and Dale Harwell and Michelle Lazo from the City of Hurst.  HEB ISD was well represented with Dr. Gene Buinger, Andy Cargile, Geoff Graham (also the Chamber of Commerce President), Kay Miller, and Mike Harris (Principal of Trinity High School and the State Champion Trinity Trojan Football Team…sorry, I’m the class of 1980).

And no disrespect, but we had the real shakers and movers…our church partners and corporate sponsors!  WAY too many to list…and I sure wouldn’t want to miss mentioning anyone.

It was a great lunch.  A great day for Euless, and a great day for Northeast Tarrant County!

Wonder if we do this again next year….what it might look like?  We sure didn’t expect this two years ago!

See you March 12 & 13!
