HGTV Curb Appeal: The Block & 6 Stones CPR
Three Euless neighbors won home exterior makeovers from HGTV and Rachael Ray — and they’re “paying it forward” to 6 Stones & CPR.
Neighbors Amanda, Amy and Hollee live in north Euless. In January, their homes’ facades and landscaping were completely transformed by HGTV designer John Gidding for the show “Curb Appeal: The Block.” They were selected for the makeovers after entering a nation-wide contest sponsored by the Rachael Ray Show.
At the end of the construction, the cul-de-sac hosted a block party to celebrate their new curb appeal. As part of the celebration, the homeowners made donations to 6 Stones and invited all their friends and family to give to 6 Stones, too. The total amount they raised was $5,000.
“Many of our friends are big fans of the ‘Curb Appeal’ show,” said Amy. “Everyone wanted to see the final makeover. We thought we’d capitalize on the attention to our homes and use the opportunity to give back to the local community via 6 Stones — and ask our friends and family to partner with us.”
“We are so grateful to HGTV and Rachael Ray for choosing our families for this project,” said Amy. “They have revitalized our homes. In appreciation, we hope to ‘pay it forward’ to our community and collect as many gifts as possible so we can help 6 Stones revitalize our city and help our neighbors in greatest need.”
After the block party, the neighborhood went back to normal, but not for long. The three women and four neighbors went to New York City in February. The women appeared on the Rachael Ray Show, and Rachael announced them as winners and showed the completed homes to viewers.
