6 Stones to Celebrate 900th Home Repaired Through Community Powered Revitalization
EULESS, TX— Local nonprofit, 6 Stones, will mark a major milestone this spring as they repair their 900th home through the flagship program, Community Powered Revitalization (CPR). The two-day event will take place Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26, with a special celebration on Friday at 10:30 a.m. to commemorate the 900th home and honor the community partnerships that make it all possible. Bloomfield Homes serves as the sponsor, providing volunteers to work on the 900th house.
Mayors and Council Members from Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Grapevine, and Colleyville, as well as Tarrant County officials, have been invited to join volunteers, staff, and community members at the celebration, which will take place onsite at one of the participating homes.
Since 2009, CPR has addressed a growing need: homeowners who can’t afford essential exterior repairs, leaving their homes—and neighborhoods—at risk. CPR serves senior citizens, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and single parents by mobilizing teams of volunteers from across the community to tackle repairs ranging from siding and paint to landscaping and structural needs. The result: stronger, safer neighborhoods and restored dignity for hundreds of families.
This year, 6 Stones will also welcome volunteers from the UFL Arlington Renegades, thanks to support from Charles Johnson, Vice President of Team Business & Event Operations.
“The 900th home represents so much more than a number,” said Jen Leney, Executive Director of 6 Stones. “It’s a testament to what we can do when cities, businesses, churches, and everyday people come together to love and serve their neighbors.”
“In addition to the numerous sponsors who make our Community Powered Revitalization Event possible, we want to thank Classic Chevrolet for the use of two fleet vehicles to shuttle people during our Behind the Scenes Catalyst Tour,” noted Trasa Cobern, Chief Development Officer.
Media are invited to attend the Friday celebration and experience the impact of CPR firsthand.
