Thank you to everyone who brought food to the JV games tonight at Pennington for the Black vs Blue Community-wide Food Drive! Everyone remember to bring your canned goods to the games tomorrow night when you come out to support Trinity and Bell!

Also, as many of you know, one of our Central Junior High students, Habram Rosario, was diagnosed with leukemia two weeks ago.  If you can help this family, please stop at the tables at the various entrances/exits around the stadium.

Habram is a 9th-grade-student at Central Junior High.  He has four other brothers.  The oldest graduated from LD Bell, and the others are in high school, junior high and elementary in HEB. These boys are being raised by a single mom who works in the Bellaire cafeteria and part-time for 7-11 convenience store.

Just a few weeks ago, Habram was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia.  His mom took him to the ER late one night due to facial numbness, and in less than 24 hours Habram was been diagnosed with leukemia and under went his first surgery at Cook Children’s Hospital.  The purpose of the surgery was to insert a central line for chemotherapy which started the day after surgery. The physicians also extracted bone marrow and spinal fluid to assist with diagnosis of the stage of his cancer.

Habram has received his first round of chemotherapy, which was a six-day process.  He will have surgery again on October 8th to see how the chemo is fighting the leukemia. He should start his second round of chemotherapy the end of October.  He will remain at Cook Children’s Hospital for several more weeks.  Please help as you can and keep this family in your prayers.
